The Norfolk Chronicle of 25th October 1794 records that the house was due to be sold at auction 11th November 1794, by the trustees of the late Mr. Jeremiah Armon.

A letter was sent from Lacons to the magistrates 1st October 1940, stating that the house was to be closed for the duration of the war.
The house reopened 18th February 1946
