The decision was made by the magistrates, Friday 9th February 1934 to approve provisional removal of licence to new premises, known as `Fair View', High Street, Gorleston.
Messrs. Lacon and 63 Gorleston residents had opposed.
S&P offered to include surrender the licence of the LUCKNOW TAVERN without compensation.
If the licences were to be referred to compensation then the Earl Grey would be entitled to £1100 and the Lucknow Tavern £700.

Sold 1935 and licence surrendered 18th December 1934 in consideration of a new licence for the MIDDLETON ARMS.
