The CANTEEN was on the South Denes on the site
of the Birds Eye cold store. ( Now Bunns )
The building was a wooden shack and was used by
fishermen and sailors.
John McBride was was an area manager for Lacons and recalled that his
father was a friend of Robert Hutsons son. McBrides father was licensee of
the Pleasure Boat on Hall Quay from 1914 to 1921 |
