Licence application by Maria Ann Newson refused Friday 4th September 1857, the magistrates refusing to hear any application for new licenses.

In 1863 Cobb gives Richard Goodwin at Melbourne Terrace, running a beerhouse, and being a hay and straw dealer. White's 1863 directory names him at the Crystal Palace, Havelock Road..

In 1858 Mrs. Harriet Newson is given at a Lodging House in Havelock Road.
