Previously the YORK TAVERN / HOTEL.
Purchased by Charles Rackham of the ALBION HOTEL c1883.
Renamed after August 1895.

Arthur C Ellis applied for a wine licence, to be used during the season only, at the Annual Licensing Sessions Thursday 25th August 1898. Application refused.

Wine licence granted to Mr. Ellis Friday 25th February 1903.

Only found under Public Houses 1900

A chance of being Gt. Yarmouth?
Image not proven to be Gt. Yarmouth,
but found amongst other images of the town.
Appears to show the Devonshire as a restaurant, selling Taylor Walker beers.


Became the premises of the National Telephone Company in 1909.
