In 1871 Martin Walder, Cab Driver, age 27 is given at 1 South Market Road, there is no mention of beer.
Neither Mr. Cossey or Mr. Russell can be identified in the 1871 census as being licensees.

Damaged by enemy action during WWII - no date specified.

Closed 12.10.1972 under a Compulsory Purchase Order and later demolished.
