Built in 1615

Owned by Thomas Cressy in 1619 and documented as `Le Angell'.

Mentioned in the will of Robert Hall dated 22nd June 1669 as ` my houses and lands called the Angel '.

Matthew Dye is given the publican here in 1689.

Closure date for the Angel is unknown, but by the18th century the inn had been incorporated into a new building
to be known as the Old Bank House.
