1885 - 1886 Register of Electors, both Robert Nudds and Thomas Gibson have interests in the Brickmakers Arms in those years.

Mentioned 1943 when the inquest into the death of Alfred Clare Smith (55), horseman of Overcroft, Banham, was held here. Mr. Smith was involved in a collision with a lorry whilst cycling on the afternoon of Monday 18th October 1943.
