In 1863, mail cart driver William Rider, departed from the PLOUGH every day heading through Hunstanton and Snettisham and on to Lynn.

John Bunkle was also the Warrener in charge of the Norton sandhills or meales, the property of the Earl of Oxford.

Appears as the PLOUGH COFFEE HOUSE
1883 & 1888.

The house belonged to the church and it is said it became a coffee house when Rector Kerslake decided that alcohol should not be sold on church owned property.
However the listings of 1883 and 1888 are still within the Public Houses sections of directories.
