George Musk applied for a spirit licence at the Petty Sessions held Wednesday 28th August 1867. The application was refused. Beerhouse licence renewed.

Frederick Dent was convicted Wednesday 24th October 1900 of having been drunk in charge of a horse on the 5th October 1900. Mr. Dent said that he had come into town to hear the result of the election and admitted to having a glass or two of beer. He considered he was quite capable of returning home and looking after his cows.
Fined 7/6d with 1s costs, Mr. Dent was reminded that his actions were serious because he was a beerhouse keeper and although the action would not result in his licence being endorsed, if he were addicted to such conduct, then the licensing Justices may refuse him a licence in the future.

Structural alterations and improvements were approved by the magistrates, 12th January 1950.
