The message on the reverse of the above is dated 09.10.1918
Only found in S&P records as a beerhouse closed by compensation and sold 1913.
Jacob Rolph is the name deciphered from the large signboard to the mid left of the
illustration above.
The hanging sign clearly says Butchers Arms and gives the brewer as Steward &
Patteson.
Note that a Luke Rolph is given at a Feltwell beerhouse 1922. |
