WILLIAM MEEK - beerhouse & shoemaker

Note : William Meek ( 41 ) is described in 1851 as being a cordwainer, living at THREE HAMMER Common.
From local knowledge it is understood that Three Hammer Common gained its name from a beerhouse, said to date from the 17thC.
The building still survives as a private dwelling.
