At the Loddon licensing sessions Wednesday 13th February 1907 it was said that the licence of Jesse Garrard, at the Cherry Tree,  had been renewed for the 58th consecutive year.

 

A large quantity of Whitethorn Layer, three years growth, very clean and thrifty; also Oak and Ash Spring, were to be sold at Samuel Frost's, seething Garden House, February 1777.


Included in Loddon & Clavering Register taken 21st September 1789.


Known as the GARDEN HOUSE  to c1904.

At the Sessions held Wednesday 14th February 1906, Jesse Garrard confirmed that he had been licensee of the Cherry Tree for 57 years.

Immediate closure recommended by Steward & Patteson report prepared for Watney Mann (East Anglia) Ltd. - May 1969.
"Poor trade, Cellar poor & outside toilets."
