William Lacey is described variously as a Tailor and Glover, Leather Glover or Glover and Shopkeeper in the years 1841 to 1863. In 1864 he is first described as a Glove maker and Beer Retailer.

Mrs. Lacey was described in 1888 as a Shopkeeper and beerhouse. She died the following year.

Sold by Messrs. Morgans Brewery to Captain Charles Maurice Jickling Esq. of Smallburgh Hall, December 1906, for the sum of £137 10s.
