December 1944 - Mr. E. Ringer (licensee?) organised a "Welcome Home" fund which raised £6 15s 4d.
Prizes were awarded to Mr. J. Graver, for pea guessing,
To Mr. H. Wacey for cake,
and to H. Jarvis, D. Jarvis, A. Turner, R. Tooke, D. Robinson, A. Penn and M. Martin for Darts, lucky numbers.
