For Sale by Auction Tuesday 14th April 1863.
In full trade and opposite the Victoria Terminus of the Great Eastern Railway.

It seems that the landlady in 1873 (Mrs Harvey ?) objected to Sunday trading and applied for, and obtained, a 6 day licence.

Renamed the GREAT EASTERN 3rd August 1881
according to the Licence Registers.
It appears however, that the name of the GREAT EASTERN STORES was used for the house from c1865.
