The Norfolk Chronicle of 21st October 1780 reported.....
To inform the Curious......Appearing at the Half Moon..... The Gigantic
Child, or Infant Hercules, who has had the honour of being shown three
Times before their Majesties....... being 20 months old - a height of 3
feet 3 inches, 2 feet 6 inches about the Breast, Loins of 3 feet 1 inch
....etc....
The
Norfolk Chronicle of 22 March 1783 reported that ….
` To be seen at William CURTIS's, the HALF MOON on the Castle Ditches.
A most beautiful Female Dromedary, from the Grand Cairo, but last from
Naples; also a curious Porcupine from the Coast of Africa. This Creature
is armed with sharp Darts and Prickles. With many other Curiosities.
