Monday 20th March 1916 - Summoned for failing to pay the insurance contributions of three waitresses employed on Saturdays. Legge claimed that they were not employed, they were rewarded by tips from the customers, but he acknowledged that he also gave them 2s each.
He was fined £1 on each case, ordered to pay insurance arrears of £3 1s 6d and £3 3s special costs.

Original building demolished to allow road widening and and the installation of the Norwich tram system.  New building completed in early 1900's. (Adjoining building has a date stone of 1902)
