At the 1906 Licensing Sessions it was reported that this was a converted cottage, unsuitable to be a public house, and according to the police, not required. ` A portion of the small bar is partitioned off as a smoking room and the living room and tap room are combined. The back premises are difficult to supervise'.
There were 6 licensed houses within 200 yards.
