KINGS LYNN |
Index |
|
The following isolated references have been noted:-
|
MAYFLOWER
later
40 HORSE INN |
Mentioned in a 1980's publication.
Said to have been renamed from the Mayflower
to the 40 Horse Inn following an unfortunate
accident where damage was caused to the house by a horse drawn Barnum & Bailey Circus
wagon.
No dates or location given and no other reference found.
Possibly a beerhouse?
1880's ?
It seems that this is a reference to the FLOWERPOT
Apparently the frontage was demolished by a 40 horse hitch 1st
August 1899.
