Licensee
Mr Henry Green ....... as reported 18th November 1780.
He had been robbed by two highwaymen
at 8:00pm 11th November.
The
offending pair, John Ewston and John Love, alias William Skipper,
were arrested 21st November at the George Inn, Swaffham.
They and two accomplices ( Smith & Moore ) attempted to escape
from the Castle Gaol 20th December 1780 but were discovered by the
keeper and were confined in the cell, double ironed and yoked.
5th February 1783 - John Lock, Norwich Corn Merchant advised
Farmers and Growers of Wheat that he would be at the Bull, at
11:00am. He would be buying Wheat and other grains, delivered to
Attlebridge, and every following Wednesday at the same time.
