Curiously the hand-written text on the reverse of this scene says
`Two WHITE HOUSES, (to the LEFT) behind another form an Inn.
The first door of the brick house to its left is the local newspaper shop'

Did the trade carry on in separate premises for some time after the original house (On right) had closed?
