The building dates from c1800 and is reputed to have been built on the site of an
inn.
First licensed 27.08.1894 as the WEST
CLIFF HOTEL ,
with condition that there was to be No Public Bar.
Later known as the REGENCY HOTEL
and then as CRABS in early
1980's. Closed 1985 to reopen as the DOLPHIN
