The RAILWAY HOTEL, later STATION HOTEL stood on Railway Road as opposed to Bridge Road. A different licensee is apparently named there from at least 1846 to 1851.

Note that there are 7 beer retailers listed in Bridge Road in 1846, as well as the Bridge Inn.
In the same year there are 5 beer retailers on Bridge Street as well as 2 Inns.
