`Apply to Mr. Press Smith of Worstead'
Robert Watts, publican of Worstead, was accused by Berney Brograve, owner of
the public house, of stealing a cart tilt and straw. The Jury found Watts
not guilty and so, on 16th January 1789, Mr. Brograve made an appeal for the
anonymous informant of the crime to come forward so that the verdict could
be challenged and promised a reward of Ten Guineas.
