Extensive alterations in 1920's completely obscuring the 18thC origin of the building.
Internal wall demolished to create larger lounge bar area.
Original 18th C windows in side and rear of building.
Two late 19th C tiled fireplaces, possibly a convincing composition of genuine old tilework and modern period reproduction metal surround.
Original massive structural beams in ceilings of both bars.
