				as complete with Spirit Licence and having Stable, Coach-house 
				and spacious walled-in COAL YARDS and WHARF. All in occupation 
				of William Draper, as tenant from year to year.

	Samuel Sparrow appeared at the County Assizes Wednesday 13th December 1865, 
	surrendering to his bail and pleading not guilty of committing rape upon the 
	person of Mary Ann Bullen, a domestic servant in his employ. The alleged 
	offence was said to have been committed whist Mrs Sparrow was away. After a 
	hearing of several hours the case ended with an acquittal.
				
				Described as the Watermans Arms, substantially built Beer Store, 
				with granary Over, stables, Cottages, with considerable river 
				frontage and on the tramway, when offered For Sale by Auction, 
				Tuesday 28th March 1871.
