BELL PLOUGH

At the Licensing Sessions, Monday 2nd March 1931, the licences of the Bell and the Plough were considered for closure by Compensation.
The representative for Morgans & Co., the owners of the Plough, intimated that they had no objection to closure, whilst the representative for Bullard and Sons much appreciated the attitude of their competition and applied for renewal of the licence of the Bell, which was granted.
With a population of 246 in 1921, it was considered that only one of houses was required for the needs of the parish.
