As KINGS HEAD 1851 KING OF THE GIPSIES 1861 WHITE HART from 1881 Walter Doughty borrowed £10 to pay for his first delivery of beer when he took over the house in 1894. In September 1895 he was served with a writ of about £40 for beer supplied and a further demand for rent unpaid. On Wednesday 27th October 1897 he applied for a discharge, which was granted and suspended for the minimum period of two years.
