Closed in early 1990's.

Reopened 1993 as a freehouse; selling Greene King Ales and guest beers. Then advertised as skilfully restored in the 1970's'.

New kitchen and non-smoking dining area
installed by 2005.

Awarded an entry in the CAMRA 2007 Good Beer Guide.
