On Tuesday,2nd September 1873, James Lovett,
bricklayer, Obadiah Smith, carpenter, George Smith,
labourer, John Barnard, labourer, and Albert Brighton, blacksmith, all
of Morley St. Botolph, were accused of throwing clods and stones at Ann
Peacock and Sarah Barnard, singlewomen, as they
returned from evening service at Morley Church.
For their disgraceful conduct the five men were each fined 2s and costs
of £1. |

Licence surrendered at the Licensing Sessions,
Saturday 26th September 1896 in exchange for a full licence for
"Wicklewood" Buck.
One of the Committee, Earl Kimberley, said the result would be to "Get
rid of a wretched old house."
<The Wicklewood parish boundary included
part of the Buck Inn, parts of houses and parts of Morley Village Hall
until 1980, when the Local Government Boundary Commission approved
repositioning of the boundary further to the north.>
