The estate of Mary Staff , deceased, was Sold by Auction Friday, 28th February 1812. There were 3 Lots, consisting of the Maid's Head, a Piece of Land (1A. 3R. 13P.) and an Allotment, late Parcel of Common Land. (2A. 2R. 13P.)

Advertised 20th and 27th July 1816  to be Sold by Auction on Thursday 1st August 1816, then in the occupation of Thomas Staff.

Advertised For Sale, 10th and 17th August 1816, with Stable, Chaise-house and Offices (the whole lately nearly re-built), Garden, Skittle Ground and about 2 Acres of excellent Land adjoining the Garden. (Occupant not mentioned.)

For Sale by Auction October 1877.
Then in occupation of Mr. Grapes.

As the MAIDS HEAD COMMERCIAL INN 1879.

Structural alterations completed by Bullards 30th April 1964

Closed 2004 and converted into an antiques shop by 2009.
