Cellars reputedly used as cattle byres in 1930's.

Featured a `monster' chess board in 1970's

Closed in Spring 1996

Known as the DRAGONS CAVE 2000 to 2001.

Closed May 2001 and plans to convert to flats published.

Demolished by 31st January 2005

Interior walls demolished to make open plan bar area with modern wrought iron partition to pool room.
Originally 4 bar rooms, one at front, two at rear and one now closed boatshed / disco ballroom at ground level riverside.
All served by small horseshoe shaped bar with brick bar back and metallic tiles on adjacent wall.
All decor is modern.
Exterior has Diaper patterned brickwork on chimneys.
Period doors.
Lead glass shell patterned fanlight.
Lion head masks by bar windows on facade.
Lead drainpipe head with date 1937.
