ALBURGH - KINGS HEAD

c1920 with Walter Goddard as licensee

Shown on Bryant's 1826 map.

Lot No. IV in the sale of Harleston Brewery properties 3rd July 1828.
In occupation of Nathaniel Dunn. Including Yard, Garden, Stable and Land thereto belonging, containing 1A 2R 25P.

At the Harleston Petty Sessions, Friday 6th November 1868, the licence application of Abraham Ling was refused on the grounds that he had been convicted of poaching on five occasions during the previous three years.
It would appear that he soon gained a licence since he his recorded here in 1869 as the licensee.

Licence not renewed at the Annual Licensing Sessions Friday 7th February 1930 on the grounds of redundancy. Final decision to be made at the next sitting of the Court.

Application made 03.02.1956 to transfer Full Licence to Tradesman's Arms, this was confirmed 02.05.1956
