It was reported 16th June 1877 that two fowls, value 10 shillings, had been stolen from publican Robert Sucker. The golden pencilled fowls had been kept near the engine in the Ten Mile River. Watermen Edward Cawley and Jesse Vaughan were accused of the crime, but the Bench dismissed the case.
